Ambulatory Nurse Director Position

Cardiology Division

Massachusetts General Hospital

 

The Cardiology Division of Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking an ambulatory nurse director to join our leadership team. The nurse director will be accountable for the quality of patient care in the cardiology outpatient practices and will continually assess clinical practice including scope of practice guidelines, protocols, and regulatory compliance. S/he will work collaboratively with physician and administrative colleagues to advise clinical practice and decision making.

 

The candidate will manage 50 FTEs including Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, Nutritionists and Exercise Physiologists in four ambulatory settings and five subspecialties (Prevention, General Cardiology, Heart Failure, Interventional Cardiology, and Electrophysiology).

 

Candidates must be masters prepared; either the bachelors or master’s degree must be in nursing. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of managerial experience and nursing experience in an ambulatory setting. Candidates with cardiac rehab experience will be heavily considered.
